Baseball Anyone?

We are getting ready for baseball season. We registered at Healing Place for Upward Baseball last week so the boys have been wanting to play catch and hit. This year they are really hitting and throwing much harder. I really enjoy playing with them once I get outside.

Chris took them to the YMCA to hit at their batting cages. They had a blast.

I just heard a great pastor speak about End Time Prophsey according2prophecy.com. The guys name was Donald Perking. He was on the radio show of Paul Salus.

Decembers' Festivities & Fun

December 9th Snow blankets the ground here in Prairieville & surrounding areas up to 5 inches & school is cancled!

Caleb played his first piano recital on December 11st after being postponed because of snow. We could not believe it either. Snow men, snow forts, & soggy kids were playing everywhere. We even had school cancled. Chris took a half day & he played outside with them most of the day. He played from memory Oh, Mac Donald. Luke's Kindergarten preformed the Christmas story on December 18th. Luke was a rooster. Luke was so excited to hear about how important a rooster was in the stable when Jesus was there & on a farm. Chris was able to video & take pictures. Chris did a great job! I had my own class to sit with during the program. Caleb was able to have a Christmas party on December 19th for his 2nd grade class too. I was able to go to the party while Chris took Luke for a fun day at his office playing. Following the party we went for Lunch at our favorite pizza joint SAM's wholesale. Then off to play at Highland Road park. Play at the park isn't it cold you ask? Heck no, it is 78-80 degrees so it is the perfect day for the park. We took some great pictures & had a blast outside. Our Family Christmas was on Sunday December 21st.

We were once again blessed with an great time with family and friends. Traveling these days is quite nice but the older I get the more I appreciated my own home and my own bed. Caleb & Luke are able to bath by themselves at least with to some degree so being away from home is becoming more relaxing as they get older.

Thanksgiving Memories

Thanksgiving has gone leaving with the families involved with even more blessings than we started with. We left for Arkansas on the 20th of November at 5:45 AM. Yes, Chris drove thankgoodness so I could catch up on my rest & relax. The boys really enjoyed watching movies & eating while we traveled. We arrived around 5PM at The Knights. We unloaded the hunting supplies & had coffee with Gwen & Sam before going over to Mom & Dad's. Chris, Caleb, & Luke woke up early on November the 21st ready to hunt. Chris's last words before leaving to hunt were for us to pray for "deaf deer". Caleb & Luke were outfitted with satchels of candy, gum, coloring books, as well as Games Boys. Chris had purchased a deer blind so they all could be out of the wind & a tree stand was out of the question for this year. The Lord blessed my guys with a beautiful 8 point buck! The boys called & told us all they experienced. Caleb & Luke both had a blast. They went out a second day & much to Luke's dismay they weren't able to shoot another deer. However, they were able to use the deer calls & find deer tracks. The boys first hunting experience with Chris as well as Pop's ended on a high note.

Hurricane Gustav

September 4th-7th 2008

Hurricane Gustav brought much devastation to South Lousiana.
However, for us the hurricane was also an excuse to go to Northwest Arkansas to see family & go to a RAZORBACK GAME. Chris was also blessed with a few hours in the woods preparing deer stands and sighting in guns.
Thanks to all our family who made us feel warm & welcome while at home.

We made memories I hope you all enjoy & treasure!
